Provides checkpointing and snapshotting of applications and containers to disk

Fortran days this was common to checkpoint against cores being used, however now issues with:

  • signal states, semaphores, futexes, SELinux state, ptrace status, CPU affinities, special purpose file descriptors epoll_wait()
